Why David Spade doesn’t joke about Trump

David Spade doesn’t do Trump jokes. Not because of his own political leanings, but because he says it’s seems like cheating.

“If you just go in a comedy club and go, ‘Trump, man,’ they’ll just applaud,” Spade told KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson. “I’m not saying it’s corny. I’m just saying it’s almost halfway there anyway.”

“I’d rather just stay away from it,” he said.
