A bomb threat shut down one of Amazon’s main buildings in South Lake Union Monday morning.
Building security called police to report a threatening note was found in a bathroom around 10:30 a.m. in the Amazon complex, in the 400 block of Terry Avenue N, GeekWire first reported.
The evacuation was limited to the building known as Day 1 South.
“We are investigating a threats complaint in the 400 block of Terry Avenue North and are working with the affected business. That’s all the information I can provide at this time,” said Seattle police Sgt. Sean Whitcomb in a statement.
Police cars were seen outside the building around noon. GeekWire reports many employees are working from home and the surrounding area was pretty quiet during a typically busy time of day.
