A father whose baby was born on Christmas Day at Puyallup’s Good Samaritan Hospital helped extinguish a burning vehicle.
Central Pierce fire officials tweeted that the dad’s car was on fire in the hospital’s parking garage.
He then decided to get into the vehicle and drive it out of the garage, possibly saving nearby cars and the parking structure.
“So I sprayed the water as high as I could get it, but it didn’t do much,” the father said.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
Central Pierce fire said the mom, dad and the baby are doing great.
So this young dad (who had one of the first Christmas baby’s) @goodsam saved the day! His car caught on fire at GSH parking garage, he GOT IN, then drive it out of the parking garage saving the cars next to his and the parking structure! Awesome job Travis! pic.twitter.com/HrM2DFm5nt
