Death Wish coffee could give your Starbucks buzz a run for its money

Many of you, no doubt, started your day off with a hot cup of coffee. But now you can find a killer cup of coffee, metaphorically speaking.

Actually, it's the story of a coffee company that claims to produce the first and last cup of coffee you'll need to kick start your day, and considering the amount of caffeine, maybe your month.

This medium-dark roast coffee blend from Upstate New York, claims to be the 'most highly caffeinated premium dark roast organic coffee in the world.'

For comparison's sake, a large McDonalds cup of coffee has 145 milligrams of caffeine, and a Starbucks grande has 330. A similar cup of this coffee contains 520 milligrams of caffeine. That's almost 5 times what you normally get in a typical coffee shop coffee.

It's name? Death Wish.

That's right, it's named after the famous, or infamous, Charles Bronson movie franchise.

The organically grown, fair trade coffee sells for $19.99 per one-pound bag on Amazon.com.

'I was zipping around like I was the Flash,' one satisfied user wrote giving it five out of five stars on Amazon.com.

The company offers a money-back guarantee, according to its website deathwishcoffee.com.

They write, 'Buy a bag, if you hate it, send it back (within 60 days) and we will refund you your money plus shipping. No Risk. It's the best part about selling a product we believe in.'

    I Used To Think...............
....that there were only 2 reasons for people to drink coffee:

    1. The taste.

    2. The effect.

Then I came to add a third:

    3. The social aspect.

At nearly three times the cost of my normal coffee that I buy at the store (on sale and with a coupon) I think they have priced me out of their demographic.

Authors Note: I would like to try a SMALL cup, just to taste and see the effect as a medium size (oops sorry, Starschmucks doesn't have medium) a tall cup of drip coffee usually gets me talking 100 mph.

Gee- you clearly hate Starbucks, and that's fine, but let's not lie and tell the world they don't have a 'medium'. They have 3 or 4 sizes. One of them is 'medium' sized no matter what they call them.

    Just An Observation..............
Stating I hate Starbucks is CLEARLY assumptive........and very incorrect.

Whenever I order a "medium" at Starschmucks, I am always corrected by the person behind the counter: "tall".

I have a perfect score; to the point that I mix it up how I ask for the product just to see if I am corrected, or not.

I don't hate Starbucks......I have bought and sold their stock so many times, I have lost count. I have done well in that department since the mid 1990's. I also purchase their product in the grocery store (as long as it is on sale in my price range).

    @Ronp......."A vitamin".....that made me laugh

    REMEMBER -
    Coffee is not a drug - It's a vitamin.

    .

You don't say if Starbucks sells this by the cup or not, but a triple shot of espresso usually does it for me if I.ve no time to juice up normally.
