Local TV stations are sticking to their pledge to give Amanda Knox and her family privacy. British tabloids made no such pledge and published the first pictures since her news conference in Seattle.
Knox was acquitted of the murder of Meredith Kercher, her roommate in Perugia, Italy
With a splashy headline, the UK’s Daily Mail proclaims, “Taste of freedom: Smiling Foxy Knoxy enjoys her first outing since arriving home. The 24-year-old spotted at Seattle petrol station with her father and minder. Trip marks the first time she has been seen since arriving home last week.”
Translation, she was at a gas station with her step father driving a Grand Cherokee and a body guard in the front seat.
“Laughing without an apparent care in the world, it appears Amanda Knox is slowly getting used to the everyday things in life again,” the article begins.
