A person not happy with Socialist City Councilmember Kshama Sawant’s plans for Seattle has launched a gofundme page to raise money to send her to whichever Socialist country she wishes.

“It is your opportunity to help our City of Seattle Council Member Kshama Sawant move and live in the Socialist country of her choice. China, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam!! With your help we can fund her move to the Socialist country of her choice since she does not approve of our free market system in the United States,” says a message from the page’s organizer identified as a Small Business Owner in Seattle.

The goal is to raise $10,000. So far, the page has not collected any donations.

KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson who has been a vocal opponent of Sawant’s ideas said it seemed, by all the emails he received expecting him to be excited about the proposal, but he feels quite the opposite.

“I’m very much against this. I think people thought I would think this was a great thing to propose moving her out of the area. I couldn’t disagree more strongly with that,” said Monson.

“Obviously, as a talk show host, I don’t want her to leave. She’s an endless source of amusement and entertainment and comedy, unintentionally on her part. But she’s one of the greatest gifts we’ve been given for a long, long time in local politics.”
