A statue at the gift shop in the brand new San Francisco 49ers Levi Stadium is giving Seahawks fans an interesting opportunity.
Seattle fan Larry sent The Dori Monson Show a photo of a Seahawks fan impersonating Sherman’s pose in the infamous play where he tipped the ball away from receiver Michael Crabtree in last year’s NFC Championship game against the 49ers.
The play was, of course, the catalyst for Sherman’s post-game rant that went viral:
“I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s what you’re going to get. Don’t you ever talk about me! Don’t you open your mouth about the best! Or I am going to shut it for you real quick! LOB [Legion of Boom].”
Now Seahawks fans can shut down Crabtree all they want with his new likeness. The fan that sent us the photo would like to see it become a regular thing for Seahawks fans visiting the stadium.
“I think every Hawk fan should visit the stadium and strike the same pose,” says Larry. “I’d love to see how many photos we can post before the folks down there decide to move Crabtree behind glass or something.”
