Michael Bennett is known for his personality on and off the field. But could that personality translate to politics?

The Seahawks’ defensive lineman stopped by to talk on KIRO Radio’s Tom & Curley Show Thursday, when Tom asked Bennett if he has any interest in becoming a politician.

“Do you have any interest in politics?” Tom asked. “The great thing about Charles Barkley…”

“Charles Barkley?” Bennett said before Tom could finish. “Do not compare me to Charles Barkley.”

Barkley has a great personality, Tom said. The retired NBA player is always considering running for office.

Politics would be fun, Bennett admitted.

“Politics would be kind of cool, I guess, but I’m not really into it,” Bennett said.
