Handgun found in car’s bumper may have been fired during gunfight

The “small black object” a driver saw fly through the air while traveling on I-5 turned out to be a handgun.

According to Washington State Trooper Guy Gill, the driver traveled about 18 miles after seeing the object and then pulled over for gas.
The driver turned the gun over to Lakewood police.
Lakewood detectives believe the gun was tossed off an overpass.
On Wednesday night, a gunfight erupted at Harry Todd Park. Investigators believe one of the shooters threw a gun off the Murray Road SW overpass onto I-5.
