Edmonds woman goes missing, wakes up in field with no memory

Jul 17, 2019, 5:19 PM | Updated: 9:26 pm

Police in Edmonds are trying to figure out what happened to a woman who went missing for a couple hours on the early morning of July 14.

The mystery began when a 28 year-old woman was visiting her fiance’s family, and the two were leaving the house around 12:20 a.m. Her fiance went back inside for a moment and when he came out, the woman was gone. He searched for her and then called 911.

She was eventually found around 2 a.m. at a gas station by two people who had stopped for fuel, and then called her family and took her home, according to a City of Edmonds press release.

The woman had a foggy recollection of how she got there. All she remembered was waking up in a grass field with a man kneeling near her and another woman standing nearby, and somehow making her way to the gas station. She had cuts and bruises when she was located, and lost a pair of sandals sometime during the incident.

With few details available, detectives are still trying to piece together what happened to the woman and how she got injured. If anyone has any pertinent details, they are advised to contact the Edmonds Police Department.
