The high winds have calmed, but the damage is done.

Tens of thousands of homes and businesses are in the dark this morning after strong winds and heavy rain from a storm blew through the Pacific Northwest Saturday evening and into the early hours of Sunday.

Puget Sound Energy crews are working to restore power.

PSE reports more than 12,000 customers remain without electricity in Kitsap, Thurston, Pierce and King Counties.

Seattle City Light crews are also working around the clock to get the lights back on.  20,000 customers are waiting for power to be restored.

Grays Harbor Public Utility District was also hit hard, with more than 9,000 outages reported Sunday morning.

Snohomish PUD also reports that its crews are dealing with restoring power to about 1,500 customers.

Utility crews and emergency responders also spent the night working to remove fallen trees from roadways.

In Lewis County, just before 10 p.m., a multi-vehicle collision and downed trees blocked all lanes of southbound I-5 near Highway 12.

In Clallam County, about 20 miles west of Lake Crescent, SR 113 was closed about a mile north of U-S 101 due to trees and large branches across the highway.
