Dori plays ping pong at No Child Sleeps Outside Celebrity Tournament

It was a bouncing night as the faces of KIRO Radio and AM 770 KTTH got together with fans and pingpong experts for some friendly sparring at SPIN Seattle ping pong bar downtown.
And the competition was for a noble cause, as all proceeds from the No Child Sleeps Outside Celebrity Ping Pong Tournament. The event was organized by KTTH’s Saul Spady, and benefited Spady’s annual six-week No Child Sleeps Outside campaign to raise $2 million for homeless families through Mary’s Place, a local nonprofit that houses families in need at eight shelters across King County.
Dori joined KIRO Radio’s Mike Salk and KTTH’s Jason Rantz to face off against VIP players who made it past the initial qualifying round.

And although Dori ultimately lost to ping pong champ Doug Spady, it was a fierce battle against the Northwest’s most competitive talk show host.
.
The event even saw ping pong balls bouncing across the political aisle, as Sen. Reuven Carlyle (D-Seattle) played Republican gubernatorial candidate Joshua Freed.
No Child Sleeps Outside runs through Dec. 31. If you were not able to attend the tournament but would like to make a donation, you can do so here.
