Gee and Ursula Show...

The Gee and Ursula Show on KIRO Radio.

I feel very fortunate and I want to thank you, our listeners, for playing a big role in that.

We started the Gee and Ursula Show about a month ago with the hope that we could create an informative and entertaining show that isn’t polarizing. The premise was that no matter how different we may be, there are many more things we share in common. And even if we have opposing viewpoints, there are ways we can talk about it without resorting to name-calling or disrespect.

The show is still in its infancy and we have a lot of room to grow, but Gee, producer Andrew “Chef,” and I are really happy with the direction it’s going, and so much of the credit goes to all of you.

We are overwhelmed by the hundreds of texts we get every day (at 98-973) with your thoughts on the topics we discuss, your thoughtful posts on our Facebook page and the supportive emails and Tweets you send us every day. You’ve been awesome since day one and I can’t thank you enough.

Why am I writing this thank you letter now? Well, I’m going to be on a cruise for the next two weeks and for the first time ever in my 30-plus year career, I have regrets about going on vacation! It was already planned and paid for before I knew I was going to co-host a new show. Otherwise, I honestly would have canceled it.

So, just like we end the show each day, I’d like to share these words to to live by, from spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle: “Gratitude for the present moment and the fullness of life now is the true prosperity.”

Listen to the Gee and Ursula Show weekday mornings from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on KIRO Radio, 97.3 FM. Subscribe to the podcast here.
