KING COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies are investigating after an employee at a spa was shot during an attempted robbery Thursday night in Skyway.
Authorities said the incident happened at South Bay Massage and Spa, which is located in the 12400 block of Renton Avenue South.
The victim, a man of Asian descent, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.
Law enforcement said they want to make it clear that there is no indication of a hate crime and it appears to be an attempted robbery.
Deputies are looking for two suspects and have no description of them yet.
Dogs were brought in to try and track them down.
King County Sheriff's Office tells me they don't want to undermine this shooting at an Asian spa south of Seattle. But also don't want to unnecessarily stoke fears.
Of course we all immediately think of what happened in ATL.
They say right now, it appears to a robbery– (1/2) pic.twitter.com/acDbb7aSmO
