Kirkland teen says teacher, school are pressuring students to get vaccinated

A Kirkland teen says her teacher spent class time trying to convince high school students to get vaccinated and shame those who are eligible and haven’t got the shot yet.
The senior, who we’ve agreed not to name, told KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson Show her teacher asked if she was going to get the COVID-19 vaccine in front of the class and said she should get it.
She also said she sat in an hour-long presentation during a homeroom class about how good the vaccine was and why they should get vaccinated.
“I think they should have had a separate space for people who wanted to learn to go and watch this presentation,” she said. “I talked to my sister, and she said a lot of people from her class just got up and left the classroom during it.”
Dori told her that he believes the government should not be telling us how to live our lives. The Kirkland teen agreed.
