Gov. Inslee, Washington State Patrol unveil ‘heroes wall’ in Olympia

Governor Jay Inslee honored our state’s law enforcement Tuesday, on Washington State Patrol‘s 100th anniversary, with the unveiling of a new memorial in Olympia.

WSP Chief John Batiste and Gov. Inslee unveiled the “Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall” in the Helen Sommers building on the state Capitol campus. It’s a permanent memorial to officers who died in the line of duty.

Chief Batiste says it features 31 plaques.

The event began at 11 a.m. There was a livestream of the event on WSP’s YouTube channel here, and it streamed on TVW.
