Rapid molecular COVID-19 tests will be available at Thursday’s Seattle Seahawks game against the Los Angeles Rams and will be accepted for entry into Lumen Field, but they’re not free.

Seattle Seahawks news from 710 ESPN Seattle

The on-site tests, provided by Safeway and Albertsons, will produce a result in 20 minutes. They will cost $129 out-of-pocket, and insurance will not be billed. Technicians will be available to administer the PCR equivalent tests — the most accurate, trusted tests available — in the north parking lot starting at 1 p.m. Appointments are encouraged, as walk-ins are welcome but not guaranteed.

For all ticket holders 12 and older, Lumen Field requires proof of vaccination or a negative test within the past three days for entry into the stadium. The requirement at Lumen Field kicked in on Sept. 19 with the Seahawks’ first home game of the 2021 NFL regular season.

Seattle sports teams to require proof of COVID vaccination for fans

In accordance with current state and King County mask mandates, all fans and staff are required to wear masks at all times while at Lumen Field, except while actively eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status. This includes both indoor and outdoor areas of the stadium.

For anyone yet to be vaccinated, COVID vaccinations still remain free and available at Safeway and Albertsons pharmacies, as well as at a variety of providers across the state. Use the state’s Vaccine Locator tool to find a provider near you.
