Shooting in Chinatown-International District leaves one dead

A man was shot and killed in an encampment in the Chinatown-International District early Friday, June 24.

At 12:04 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired at 12th Avenue S, where they found a 31-year-old man with a fatal gunshot wound.

Two shootings and two fires in MyNorthwest overnight crime report

The man was declared dead at the scene by Seattle Fire Department medics.

Homicide detectives, as well as Crime Scene Investigators, are still searching for witnesses and evidence at the scene.

SPD has not listed any suspects at the time of publication but is asking the public to call the Violent Crimes tip line with any information.
