Assault and robbery at Marysville coffee stand leads to arrest

Marysville Police said Monday that around 8:30 a.m., a man forced his way into a Smokey Point area coffee stand. The suspect assaulted one of the baristas and demanded money.

Investigators say after stealing the cash, he took off. Officers from multiple agencies, along with a K-9, searched for him. Marysville PD officers identified the suspect after they’d recently booked him into jail.

Officers continued to search for the suspect, canvassing the area for over three hours.

The suspect was eventually spotted and taken into custody for 1st-degree robbery and 2nd-degree burglary. The victim did not require medical attention.

U.S. Marshals office partners with Snohomish County police to arrest fugitive

On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the U.S. Marshals led the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, in partnership with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Department of Corrections, and the Mountlake Terrace Police Department located and arrested a wanted fugitive on probation for manslaughter, narcotics, and weapons offenses.

Officers found the fugitive in the 900 block of West Casino Road in Everett, where he attempted to speed off and nearly drove into a building.

The suspect was arrested with a loaded handgun in his waistband. Investigators found 10,000 suspected fentanyl pills, powder fentanyl, methamphetamine, cash, and a second firearm in the vehicle.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

Seattle police investigate fatal hit-and-run on Aurora Ave

Seattle Police Traffic Collision detectives are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision on Aurora Avenue.

Police say around 3:15 a.m. Monday, police responded to a report of a pedestrian down in the road in East Queen Anne.

At the scene, police found a 21-year-old man suffering from significant injuries on the road.

Officers provided the man with medical aid until Seattle Fire Department medics rushed him to Harborview Medical Center.

He later died from his injuries.

Police collected evidence at the scene and hope to find witnesses or anyone else who may have information about the hit-and-run collision.

Man wounded after shootout at ex’s apartment in Rainier Beach

Seattle Police say a 39-year-old man was shot and wounded Sunday morning after he allegedly broke into an ex-girlfriend’s Rainier Beach apartment and opened fire with a handgun.

Police say around 10:30 a.m., the suspect kicked in the door of an apartment in the 9400 block of Rainier Avenue South and opened fire. A 19-year-old man in the apartment returned fire, hitting the suspect multiple times.

Medics transported the suspect to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. He is currently under hospital guard, and investigators plan to book him into the King County Jail.

No one else was injured in the incident and SPD’s Domestic Violence Unit is investigating.
