The Auburn Police Department is searching for a driver who sped away from a deadly accident near Lea Hill Elementary School.
Around 1 a.m. Sunday, police say that a metallic gray 2023 Nissan Altima was seen driving away from the scene near the intersection of 307th Place and 124th Avenue.

Police responding to the scene found a 33-year-old man who was dead. They say the Nissan will likely have damage to the driver’s side, including the windshield.
Police also urge anyone walking late at night to avoid wearing dark clothing. They also suggest wearing a light or reflectors if you can.
“It’s extremely hard for you to be visible to oncoming traffic. So reflectors and lights, they go a long way when you’re out and about at night,” Kolby Crossley, public information officer with the Auburn Police Department, told KIRO 7.
Auburn crash scene investigators are asking for anyone with information about that car or the driver to contact them.
