The fourth man to publicly accuse Ed Murray of sexual abuse is telling his story, including more allegations against the Seattle mayor.
“It was awkward because I didn’t know the man,” Maurice Lavon Jones told The Seattle Times. “…But Delvonn said I could get some money.”

Jones, 44, details a few alleged encounters with Murray in the ’80s when he was a teenager. His memory is vague at points because at the time he was addicted to drugs and living on the streets — like many others who have accused Murray of sexual abuse. The first alleged encounter was when Heckard took Jones to Murray’s Capitol Hill apartment where he was paid for sex. Jones also alleges that Murray picked him up in his car another time and drove to Volunteer Park where he was paid for sex again.
But he hadn’t seen Murray for years until he noticed him running for mayor. He also told the Times that Heckard informed him he planned to sue the mayor in January or February. He insists that he is not lying for his friend.
Jones admits he is addicted to drugs and has a criminal history. He is currently in jail for cocaine possession.
Mayor Ed Murray has denied all allegations against him. He is fighting the case and continues to run for re-election.
Meanwhile, the attorney representing Heckard has faced criticism. Lincoln Beauregard explained to KIRO Radio why he was smiling in a photo with Jones as he was getting his statement. Beauregard also was fined by the judge for misusing the court filing system. The attorney said he will respect the judges decision, but that he was silenced.
