Please write President Donald Trump and beg him to look at our entitlement spending. We need to understand that if it is not cut, we will become an insolvent country. Putting more money into health care will not help and neither will the GOP health care bill.

RELATED: We don’t want rich or poor people running our economy

The Medicaid-per-patient, per-head number has doubled in six years. If it doubles again, we won’t have money to spend on anything else. It drives me insane to hear people pretend that we can keep up with this kind of velocity in spending.

We’ve been the leader in health care technology because of competition. That’s what we need within health care as well, competition. You can’t celebrate the achievements we have made in the last 100 years without celebrating the free market.

But now the right says they are going to do this the correct way.

This Republican bill will send us to single payer. What that means is that no one will be a customer and there will be no competition. You will have zero control over your health. You will become an infant again.

We need to pressure the president and our representatives to try again with a free market solution.

As always, please listen to the full audio clip for complete context.
