Meet Major Scott Smiley, the service member who raised the 12th Man flag

Major Scott Smiley, the U.S. Army’s first blind active duty officer, was honored to be able to hoist the 12th Man flag at the Seahawks game Sunday. See photos.
Smiley grew up in Pasco, Wash., went on to study at West Point and served in Iraq. It was a car bomb in Iraq that took his sight.
