The awards are the Oscars of the foodie scene, celebrating ace chefs, cocktail crafters, and culinary artisans. Now podcast host Rachel Belle and producer Aaron Mason are among the lineup of honorees.

Rachel Belle’s podcast presents notable people and interviews them about their favorite dishes. It then dives deep into the history and background of that food. It quickly made it onto iTune’s new and noteworthy section after its debut in August 2016. The podcast has now garnered the attention of food scene elite.

“Your Last Meal” is nominated for a James Beard Award in the podcast category. The show goes up against heavy hitters in the podcast industry: “Why We Eat What We Eat” by Gimlet Creative; and “The Sporkful” from Stitcher. The Sporkful is hosted by Dan Pashman who has previously been nominated three times for a James Beard Award.

Winners will be announced on April 27. Get the full list of nominees here.
