Video: Al Sharpton cannot spell ‘respect’

Al Sharpton had some spelling problems this weekend while criticizing Donald Trump and paying tribute to the late Aretha Franklin on his MSNBC show.

While trying to quote the soul singer’s hit 1967 song “Respect,” he spelled the word in a very unique way — “R-E-S-P-I-C-T.”

“The beautiful thing about this is, we can just add this to the Al Sharpton pantheon of audio we’ve been tracking over the years on this show,” Dori laughed.
