The Tacoma News Tribune reported Wednesday that the Seattle Seahawks are now owned by the Paul G. Allen Trust, and are not for sale.

The late Paul Allen’s sister, Jody Allen, chairs the trust, and is now officially the top dog in the Seahawks organizations. Vulcan Inc. Executive Vice President Bert Kolde will serve as vice chair for the Hawks, a role he also serves for the Portland Trailblazers.

Jody will also serve as chair for the Blazers.

“I used to report to Paul, and now I report to Jody,” Seahawks General Manager John Schneider said at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Wednesday. “She’s real responsive. She is into it. She wants to win.”

Jody Allen is also the chair of Vulcan, the Seattle-based company that has overseen all of Paul Allen’s business and philanthropic activities over the years.

News of Jody heading up the Seahawks puts any latent rumors of the team’s sale following Paul’s death to rest.

Paul Allen passed away last October following complications related to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Allen, who was 65 years old, announced on Oct. 1 that the disease had returned. His doctors had said they were optimistic about the results from the latest therapies. Allen had previously battled non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2009.
