After a couple fits and starts, it looks like spring will officially have sprung come next week in the Puget Sound region.

While the weekend will likely see scattered rain showers, things will still start to warm up significantly.

“Temperatures rise further into the weekend with 60s from Seattle south Saturday, and mid-60s Sunday and Monday,” said KIRO 7 Meteorologist Morgan Palmer.

According to Palmer, that will mark the warmest weather we’ve seen since October.

The National Weather Service calls for highs in the mid-60s for Seattle into Tuesday, with some cities in the region –mainly Kent, Everett, and Chehalis — even getting up close to 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Weather Channel predicts that Seattle could get up to 69 degrees by Tuesday, before things drop down to 66 on Wednesday. The 10-day forecast calls for showers by the following weekend, with temperatures settling in the mid-50s.
