A fire underneath I-5 billowed smoke along the freeway just before the exit to I-90 in downtown Seattle around 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Fire crews have since put the fire out. The cause of the fire is not yet known. The Seattle Fire Department referred to it as a “brush fire” in a tweet.
The fire was located underneath I-5 at approximately at South Judkins Street. Smoke came from the area known as “The Jungle,” where attention has been recently focused following a fatal shooting.
@KIRORadio Was listening to Ron & Don when I called 911 about it. Didn't seem to care “Its the jungle, we get calls like this all the time.”
