One woman was seriously injured and two other people also bitten after two pit bulls attacked Wednesday morning on Seattle’s Beacon Hill.

Police say the woman was walking near the intersection of Beacon Avenue South and South Cloverdale Street when the dogs attacked around 10:30 a.m.

The woman suffered serious bite injuries and was treated by medics at the scene before being transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, said Detective Drew Fowler.

A man and woman who tried to help the woman and corral the dogs were also bitten, Fowler said. They suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Police ultimately captured the dogs. They’ll be quarantined and tested for disease per standard procedure, Fowler said.

Seattle police and the Seattle Animal Control are both investigating.
