Washington State Patrol says the driver of a white SUV died from a gunshot wound on the road.
I will have more details when I arrive. Please avoid the area. This will be a lengthy closure as @wastatepatrol detectives process the scene.

Upon arrival at the scene, Trooper Rick Johnson tweeted a photo of the white SUV, which he said was stolen about 15 minutes before the accident. An unknown vehicle was chasing the SUV and firing shots. The SUV then spun out, going the wrong way up the C Street ramp, Johnson said. The driver exited his car and died on scene. An investigation is still underway.
Drivers were asked to use other routes while the road remained closed. Backups extended up to 5 miles at points in the morning.
