Seattle police are comparing a Capitol Hill bank robber to an Oompa Loompa after several witnesses report the suspect’s skin was orange.

“Witnesses inside the bank told us that his skin was sort of orange tint. It may be that he had some sort of spray-on tan product,” said Seattle Police Detective Mark Jamieson.

The incident occurred Wednesday around 6 p.m. at a Chase Bank location in the 300 block of Broadway Avenue East.

The suspect reportedly pushed a note demanding money through to the teller and flashed a gun. The teller apparently refused to cooperate with the man’s demands and the man left the bank with no money.

Police say the man is described as a white male, medium build, 20 to 30 years old, around 6′ to 6’2,” with long stringy red or auburn hair, that may be a wig.

The suspect may also have a teardrop tattoo under one or both of his eyes.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Seattle Police Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535.
