An employee at a private school in Seattle is on paid leave after allegedly hitting two students with his belt.

Officers were called to St. Therese Catholic Academy early Monday morning.

The employee, who has not been named, had been supervising a before-school program, when kids became rowdy and started throwing pencils.

When they ignored his demands to stop, police say the man removed his belt and spanked two of the kids.

The employee was immediately sent home and the students were sent back to class.

According to a police report, at least one parent of a child involved did not want to press charges.

KIRO Radio’s Brandi Kruse contributed to this report.
