Five Vote Centers to open in King County, one at Lumen Field

Ahead of Election Day on Nov. 2, five Vote Center locations across King County will open Saturday.

One of the five locations will be at Lumen Field Event Center, which will open Saturday, Oct. 30, as a space to provide voters with in-person assistance from King County Elections staff. This will be the third consecutive year to host a Vote Center at the event center in Seattle.
Other Vote Center locations include Bellevue College, Kent and Kenmore City Halls, Federal Way Performing Arts & Event Center, and Elections HQ in Renton. There is also a student engagement hub in the Husky Union Building on the University of Washington Seattle campus.
“Vote Centers are key to providing inclusive elections and ensuring that voters can register to vote through Election Day. We’re incredibly grateful to Lumen Field and the Seattle Seahawks for providing our voters with such an accessible space to get their questions answered and make their voice heard,” said Julie Wise, King County director of elections, in a written statement.
The King County Vote Centers will be open Saturday, Oct. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Election Day, Nov. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. sharp. Lines are expected on Monday and Tuesday.
If you’re not going to a Vote Center, all ballots must be turned in to a drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day, or, if returned through the mail, must be postmarked by Nov. 2.
