COVID vaccines for children facing shipping delays

King County’s health department says COVID vaccines for children younger than 6 are not being shipped as fast as anticipated. Appointments will be scaled back over the next couple of weeks.
Some COVID shots for very young kids have arrived in Washington state and are already being administered. Skagit and Thurston County’s Health Departments say they will start giving immunizations to children younger than six on Thursday.
Seattle Children’s Hospital administers first COVID-19 vaccines for children under five
In Skagit County, only Moderna’s two-dose vaccine will be offered. Pfizer shots are expected to be offered by early next month.
