The traffic nightmare on the 520 floating bridge is coming to an end.

Washington State Patrol trooper Rick Johnson tweeted all lanes were open at 4:00 p.m., but expect traffic problems to linger through rush hour.

Two accidents on the bridge closed all lanes in both directions for a time.

Around 12:40 p.m., an overturned semi-truck blocked all westbound lanes of 520, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

Johnson told KIRO Newsradio, there was 30,000 pounds of material on the semi. Wind may have had a tangential role in the accident as the semi is reported to have rolled after avoiding a trash can blowing across the freeway.

A short time later, there was a second collision headed eastbound on 520 that has cars backed up to Montlake Boulevard. That accident was blocking the left lane east of Montlake Boulevard in Seattle, the transportation department said.

Police say avoid the area if you can.
