GOP chair says Trump treats women with ‘tremendous respect’

Donald Trump’s Tuesday rally in Everett will be a great thing for the State of Washington and Republican candidates down the ticket, according to state GOP chairperson Susan Hutchison.
Hutchison told KIRO Radio’s Jason Rantz that this will be the first time a Republican candidate has campaigned directly to the voters in Washington in more than a decade.
Many of Washington’s GOP candidates have distanced themselves from Trump for his multitude of controversial remarks, including his insults of a Gold Star family plus veteran and Senator John McCain, as well as sexist and demeaning comments toward women. Hutchison, however, said she has never experienced that side of Trump.

“Donald Trump treats women with tremendous respect. I have never met a candidate who paid so much attention and respected me so much. I’ll tell you when we meet, the first thing he does is he asks me a question – this happened twice. Then he asks follow-up questions. In fact, I’ve got a really great photograph that somebody took of us because he had his hand on his face thinking. You could see as he’s kind of looking up at me, I was leaning over at the table, and he’s just thinking about the answers. And then, after we had this discussion, he went and he double-checked my answers and then he came back to me to say … about him coming back to Washington state. That was in June and he’s making good on a promise that he made me based on the discussion we had.”
“You know, when most candidates come around you, they glad-hand. They say, ‘Hi, how are you,’ and then they move onto the next person. And the fact that he’s so respectful of my opinion and asks for advice, is really quite incredible.”
For those who don’t know, the internet disagrees with Hutchison.
