Pack of coyotes crashes Chris Sullivan’s backyard, again

Dec 18, 2025, 5:46 PM | Updated: 5:47 pm

KIRO Newsradio’s traffic reporter, Chris Sullivan, previously filmed a pack of coyotes and raccoons rummaging through his backyard, but the wild animals returned for round two Wednesday night.

Sully put up security cameras outside of his house for “obvious reasons,” but after catching some unannounced visitors on camera, he decided to add a few more just for fun.

Much of the footage captured the neighborhood’s pets, and a dozen bunnies messing around, which he found to be amusing. But the real attraction was two separate appearances of a stray bobcat and a small glimpse of a coyote.

Several coyotes spotted in Sully’s backyard, again

The coyote brought its friends, and the pack held a full-scale get-together in Sully’s backyard, trotting around and scoping out the scene.

“I never expected to catch a pack of coyotes checking out the yard, but twice?” Sully stated.

Sully’s home is situated near some power lines, with a large green space behind the home, likely harboring some unique forms of wildlife. He mentioned that this is why his two cats tend to stay inside his house.

As a resident in Snohomish County, a bit east of Mill Creek, Sully noted that the area is “not exactly a wildlife preserve,” though he has now had multiple sightings of coyotes, which are seemingly growing in size per appearance.

“It’s just a good reminder that predators can be right outside our doors in the Pacific Northwest,” Sully said.
