An early morning Alaska Airlines IT issue on Tuesday caused several customers to be unable to access their accounts.

In a statement, an Alaska Airlines spokesperson confirmed there was an outage and the issues were being addressed, according to KIRO 7.

“We’re currently experiencing an issue that is intermittently impacting the ability for our guests to log into their accounts on the app and website. Our teams are actively working on implementing a fix,” Alaska Airlines wrote. “We encourage guests who are traveling today who do not already have their boarding pass downloaded to arrive with enough time to print a boarding pass at the airport. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have this resolved soon.”

Several Alaska Airlines customers report outages

At the peak of the outage, more than 160 customers reported a disruption to their services on Downdetector at 9:34 a.m.

More than an hour later, Alaska Airlines released an update that the outage had been resolved.

“This morning, we experienced an issue that intermittently impacted the ability for some of our guests to log into their accounts on the app and website. Our teams took steps to address this issue, and it has now been mitigated. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue caused,” Alaska Airlines stated.

In October, a full ground stop was issued by Alaska Airlines due to a different IT issue that impacted roughly 50,000 customers and resulted in several flights being cancelled or delayed.
