A Salmonella outbreak from a greens supplement has sickened at least one person in Washington.

Live it Up’s super greens dietary supplement powder with expiration dates from 08/2026 to 01/2028 is being recalled, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Wednesday.

The recall includes the original and wild berry flavors. Officials noted additional products may be identified through the FDA’s investigation.

Contaminated greens supplement sickens 45 people across 21 states

So far, 45 people have been reported sick across 21 states. Illnesses started on dates ranging from August 22, 2025, to December 20, 2025. There have been 12 hospitalizations, but no deaths.

While Washington saw only one or two cases, Wisconsin was hit hardest, with five to 11 people reporting illnesses.

Live it Up’s supplement powder is primarily sold online through the company’s website, Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.

Consumers are advised not to eat, sell, or serve the recalled powder. Those who purchased the product should dispose of it or return it.

Salmonella symptoms typically begin within 12 to 72 hours after consuming contaminated food. The symptoms last around four to seven days and include diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. However, those with weakened immune systems, children under five, and the elderly could experience more severe infections.

The FDA is conducting a traceback investigation of products to determine the source of the contamination.

Anyone experiencing symptoms is advised to contact a healthcare provider.
