3 seriously injured in crash on SR 18 near Maple Valley

Three people were seriously injured in a crash on State Route 18 (SR 18) Thursday afternoon.
The patients were transported to a Seattle hospital after an accident on eastbound SR 18, west of S.E. 231st Street, according to Puget Sound Fire.

No ETA for reopening eastbound lanes on SR 18
All lanes of eastbound SR 18 at SR 169 were blocked near Maple Valley due to the collision, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). All eastbound traffic was diverted at S.E. 256th Street.
UPDATE 5: All lanes of EB SR 18 (MP 16) at SR 169 near Maple Valley remain blocked due to a collision. All eastbound traffic is being diverted at SE 256th St.

The westbound lanes of SR 18 have reopened after being fully blocked at SR 169.
