A hit-and-run collision that seriously injured two men on Sunday in the Chinatown-International District is currently under investigation.

At approximately 11:40 p.m., Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers received reports of a hit-and-run at the intersection of 12th Avenue S. and S. Jackson Street, SPD announced.

As officers arrived, they found a 29-year-old man and a 36-year-old man on the ground, both suffering from serious injuries.

SPD officers administered medical aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived and transported both victims to Harborview Medical Center.

One victim remains in critical condition, while the other remains in serious condition.

Suspect vehicle accelerated onto the sidewalk before fleeing the scene

SPD secured the immediate collision area and began an investigation. Witnesses were interviewed, and officers reviewed video footage obtained by the Real Time Crime Center to assist with the investigation.

The investigation revealed that a dark colored vehicle was traveling westbound on S. Jackson Street when it crossed the intersection, accelerated onto the sidewalk, and struck both victims. The driver then continued traveling westbound without stopping.

Homicide and assault unit detectives are leading the investigation to determine the events preceding the assault.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the SPD Violence Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
