Firefighters pull teenage girl from Lake Sammamish, dies at scene despite hour-long life-saving effort

A teenage girl died after going underwater at Lake Sammamish, Eastside Fire & Rescue confirmed.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at Lake Sammamish State Park. Eastside Fire & Rescue crews pulled her from the water and tried to save her for a full hour.
“Tragically, the teenage patient did not survive,” Eastside Fire & Rescue stated.
EF&R, KCSO, @IssaquahPolice, @BvueFD and Fall City Fire responded to reports of a female underwater at Lake Sammamish State Park.
