The city of Redmond announced last week that the Downtown Redmond Art Walk is returning from 4-7 p.m. on Sept. 17.

The fourth edition of the annual event will bring local artists, businesses, and arts organizations together for an evening of public art, live performances, and creative activities.

Downtown Park will feature permanent and temporary art installations, poetry, live mural painting, and a performance that will be announced at a later date. Everything has been curated by the city’s Cultural Arts Program.

“Redmond is a creative community, and the Downtown Redmond Art Walk is a wonderful showcase of our talented artists,” said Mayor Angela Birney in a press release. “This event invites everyone to connect, be inspired, and celebrate the people and places that make Redmond special.”

The event extends beyond Downtown Park, with more than a dozen businesses and organizations participating. A self-guided map will be available to help visitors explore what participating locations have to offer at their own pace.

The art walk is supported by an Arts Sustained Support grant from 4Culture, King County’s cultural-funding agency. The nonprofit provides grants and other support for arts, heritage, historic preservation, public art, and science and technology projects throughout the region.

The event is free to attend. Get your map, learn more about the artists, and other event details here.
