The Imagination Library of Washington has secured two grants intended to help revitalize its program and support its goal of providing free books to children 5 and under — a mission the broader organization has championed since singer-songwriter Dolly Parton founded it in 1995.

Funding from the Roots & Wings Foundation and The JTMF Foundation will help stabilize the program and restore service to communities where it had been paused. Once fully restored, the program is expected to reach more than 100,000 children across Washington, including approximately 40,000 whose access will be reinstated.

Restoration will continue over the coming months as local partners resume service.
