Uniqlo opening another store in western WA

Uniqlo is expanding in western Washington and is opening a new store this week.
The Japanese clothing brand, known for its monochrome palette and cotton basics, will open a location in Issaquah on Friday, according to The Puget Sound Business Journal.
Uniqlo will be taking over the former Ross Dress For Less space at 975 NW Gilman Blvd. in the Issaquah Commons mall. The space will be split between Uniqlo and J. Crew, The Puget Sound Business Journal reported, citing permit records.
Exclusive offers at Issaquah Uniqlo opening
There will be exclusive opening offers available at the Issaquah store from Friday to Thursday, according to Uniqlo’s website. They include a matching sweatpants and hoodie set, a UV protection parka, crew neck t-shirts, jeans, a flannel shirt, and shoulder bags.
The items will be marked down from their typical price and will range from $14.90 to $49.90. The retailer offers clothing for women, men, kids, and babies.
“Uniqlo Issaquah Commons introduces LifeWear to the Pacific Northwest with weather‑ready layers, breathable essentials, and durable everyday clothing,” the company wrote. “Designed to support Seattle‑area lifestyles from misty mornings to active weekends. Experience high‑quality pieces built for comfort and movement.”

Designs by local artist
The store opening will also include a limited quantity of designs inspired by and created for Issaquah by artist Brandon Vosika. To see pictures of the designs, printed on t-shirts and bags, go here.
Vosika is a Seattle-based artist who has participated in over 100 group and solo shows with galleries and museums in Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, according to his website.
In 2022, Uniqlo made efforts to improve its sustainability initiatives, mainly by refocusing on the type of fabric the company used.
“From responsibly sourcing the Down in our jackets to transitioning to more ethical Rayon, we’re dedicated to decreasing our footprint and finding alternatives, while still bringing you the same high-quality, long-lasting products,” Uniqlo stated in a post.
Uniqlo’s Issaquah location will be its sixth in Washington. Other stores are located in Tacoma, Southcenter, Bellevue, Seattle, and Lynnwood.
