One person shot in West Seattle, suspect at large

Police are investigating after one person was shot in West Seattle near Roxhill Park, and the suspect remains at large.
The shooting occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. in the 9000 block of 29th Avenue S.W., the Seattle Police Department (SPD) announced.

When officers arrived, they found a man down with multiple gunshot wounds. SPD Detective Shane Weatherford said he was being cared for by bystanders.
“Several King County Public Health employees happened to be nearby, and they provided aid until police and Seattle Fire Department medics arrived,” Weatherford said. “A 40-year-old man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.”
Law enforcement noted that the suspect is still at large and advised the public to avoid the area entirely.
