A Local Dolly Parton Tribute
Country legend Dolly Parton passed away earlier this week at 80. Her death has inspired countless tributes from admirers around the world. One closer-to-home local homage is coming from the Seattle Men’s Chorus, which is releasing its popular “Dolly: Seattle Men’s Chorus Salutes Dolly Parton” tribute concert online for a limited time. It costs $25 to watch the show, which was performed last year in Seattle, Everett, and Tacoma. All proceeds will go to the singer-songwriter’s Imagination Library. Get more details here.
A Movie in Crossroads Park
Bellevue’s Crossroads Park has, since Aug. 6, been hosting outdoor movie screenings for families. Its summer season is coming to a close tonight with a showing at “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Pre-show entertainment will start at 7 p.m.; the movie begins at dusk. Find out more here.
