Seahawks’ AJ Barner takes over Renton McDonald’s drive-thru to announce bobblehead meal

Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner took over a McDonald’s drive-thru window in Renton on Tuesday, handing out complimentary cans of Red Bull to customers.
Barner acted as a McDonald’s employee for one hour at the 73 Rainier Avenue S location from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., according to a news release from Davis Elen.
The Super Bowl-winning tight end was also joined by Seahawks mascot Blitz and Alan Finkelstein, the President of the McDonald’s Western Washington Operators Association and local McDonald’s owner-operator.
Together, they announced that McDonald’s will be introducing a Seattle Seahawks Bobblehead Meal to its menu that will be available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner beginning at 5 a.m. on Sept. 9.
The meal includes McDonald’s fan favorites with a special Seahawks 12 Bobblehead figurine, while supplies last, at participating western Washington locations.

“Fans are encouraged to grab a Seattle Seahawks Bobblehead Meal before tuning in to the regular-season opener, where the Seahawks will play at Lumen Field later that evening,” the release stated.
The Seattle Seahawks kick off the 2026-2027 season at home with a rematch vs. the New England Patriots on Sept. 9 at 5:20 p.m.
