17-year-old killed, 21-year-old injured in third Belltown shooting Sunday

A 17-year-old boy was killed, and a 21-year-old man was seriously injured in Belltown Sunday night, the third shooting that day.
Around 11:44 p.m., dispatchers received reports of a shooting near Elliott Avenue and Bell Street, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).
Police arrived and found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers gave aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers also found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
SPD said the investigation revealed an altercation occurred shortly before the shooting.
The suspect is not in custody. Homicide Unit detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
