Westbound I-90 has reopened after a temporary closure at Snoqualmie Pass, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) confirmed.
WSDOT maintenance crews began winter maintenance preparations at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The closure started at milepost 52, which meant the westbound on-ramp at exit 52 also closed. Eastbound lanes remained open.
Forest Development Road 58, also known as Denny Creek Road, was closed between SR 906 and Wagon Road Trailhead.
The winter season unofficially begins at Snoqualmie Pass on Nov. 1, when studded tires are once again legal. Traction tires or tire chains may be required depending on the latest weather conditions.
Travelers driving over the pass are encouraged to check the latest conditions online or download the WSDOT app.
